They headed back to JongWoon's room, RyeoWook quiet even for him while JongWoon filled the silence with random chatter. It was only once they were rooting through his and YoungSaeng's cupboard for a game to play when JongWoon looked at RyeoWook nervously.

"So...what's wrong, Wook?" He asked, RyeoWook looking up at him like a deer in headlights. "Is something not going well between you three?"

"Everything's fine, hyung," RyeoWook looked away, eyes searching the room evasively.

"We know that's not true," JongWoon shook his head, sighing softly as he watched the only noble he had ever called a true friend. "Why's KyuHyun not hanging out around you guys anymore? Everyone says you were fine back on the Proteus...” RyeoWook was shaking his head, not wanting to answer JongWoon's questions.

He's lying obviously, YoungSaeng frowned, listening to the conversation. He got up to help Zhou Mi with clearing the plates so he could listen undisturbed. There's something wrong with KyuHyun? Keep digging, I'll be right there.

I'm trying, he's not making it very easy, JongWoon pursed his lips a little before taking RyeoWook's hands and pulling him to the bed to sit down. "Wookie, please tell me if something's wrong," he pleaded quietly. "I'm worried about you, all three of you. If there's anything I can do..."

"There's nothing you can do hyung, nothing's wrong," RyeoWook looked down. "This is...between us."

"So there is something wrong then," JongWoon replied, and RyeoWook flinched. "Wook..."

Looking away from the older man, RyeoWook chewed on his lower lip before his shoulders slumped a little. "He's been...acting weird, really weird lately," he mumbled. "And we don't know why."

The door opened then, Zhou Mi looking a little wide eyed and confused as he was pushed in by YoungSaeng. "I'm sorry RyeoWook, Zhou Mi, but something is going on and we want to know what it is," he said. Zhou Mi padded over to the bed to sit down on RyeoWook's opposite side.

"But...” RyeoWook looked between them with wide eyes, taking Zhou Mi's hand. Seeing the looks of worry on their faces, he sighed softly, leaning a little against the gecko. "...I don't even know what to tell you. KyuHyun hasn't been himself at all lately."

"What do you mean?" YoungSaeng asked gently, leaning against one of the tables and watching the two.

"Since we got here... he's been very distant, doesn't even sleep in the room half the time," Zhou Mi said, looking down at RyeoWook's hand. "He acts like... he doesn't want to be with us. Or... he doesn't want RyeoWook with us."

YoungSaeng's eyes widened, glancing sharply at JongWoon. "But.. you've been together so long, why now?"

"I don't know," RyeoWook whispered, free hand clenching against his jeans as his eyes became slightly glassy. "I know he...didn't like me at first, when we first met, but I thought we got past that. And Mi's always meant the world to him."

"This only started recently?" JongWoon asked quietly, placing his hand on RyeoWook's shoulder. "Did anything happen that might have made him angry or something?" He didn't understand though. KyuHyun might have gotten mad at the weirdest things, but the gecko didn't have it in him to do something like this.

"We talked about that RyeoWook, it's not that he didn't like you, he thought that you were going to steal me away, since humans weren't the same as us," Zhou Mi said softly. "Lately though... lately he has acted like he hates RyeoWook, and there's nothing that I can think of that happened. The only strange thing was we saw another grouping of Geckos on the station, and he wanted to talk to them, but his behavior started well before that."

"Since coming aboard Pandora," YoungSaeng said.

"Kind of? Maybe it's nothing, but when we were leaving Proteus, he acted like he didn't want to be near either RyeoWook or myself. Which was so odd, because just the night before we had... well..."

"Okay, we get it," JongWoon flushed. "So...this might have started back on the Proteus then. Since the ambassadors got there maybe? It's a far shot though, I don't see how they could aggravate him that much..."

"No, as far as we know he never even talked to them," RyeoWook shook his head. "We don't know why he's being like this."

Crossing his arms over his chest, YoungSaeng's brow furrowed as he tried to think of what could be bothering the Gecko. "HyunJoong's brother... he was infected with an alien disease... or so we think. Did KyuHyun ever come in contact with him?"

"No... never," Zhou Mi shook his head, his grip on RyeoWook's hand tightening. "The closest he got was that stasis pod he was in, right?" he said, looking to RyeoWook.

"Yeah, other than that he kept pretty clear of HyunJoong's brother," RyeoWook said quietly. "He didn't even go with them onto the crashed ship."

"Maybe we should try asking the others later if they've noticed anything weird about KyuHyun," JongWoon said quietly. "Maybe one of them would have seen something."

"Yeah, we can ask JungMin and HyungJoon if they've noticed anything," YoungSaeng said. "Those two would be the ones likely to notice."

"We'll figure this out on our own," Zhou Mi said, sitting up straight. "This is a Gecko problem, and if he's decided he wants to be away from us, then that is his decision."

"But Mi..." JongWoon frowned worriedly.

"He's right, we'll be fine," RyeoWook said quietly. "Thank you for your concern, both of you...but we'll work this out ourselves." He stood up, not letting go of Zhou Mi's hand.

"But... don't Geckos group for life?" YoungSaeng asked quietly. What would happen if KyuHyun left them? The smaller the grouping the stronger the bonds between each of them.

"Please, don't concern yourself with it," Zhou Mi said quietly, pulling RyeoWook towards the door.

JongWoon watched them go, eyes sad. "Do you think they'll be able to settle this without being hurt?" he asked quietly, looking up at YoungSaeng. He was worried for them all, not sure what to do to help.

"No... I don't think so," YoungSaeng replied, his head down. "Gecko matter or not, what happens to them, affects all of us. Maybe tomorrow we should find KyuHyun and ask him what's going on."

"Yeah," JongWoon looked down at his hands before standing. "Maybe he has something to say that could help. I don't believe he'd ever do something like this normally though...he's just not like that." He wrapped his arms around YoungSaeng's waist, resting his cheek on the other man's shoulder.

"No, we all know how devoted he is to Zhou Mi," YoungSaeng said, putting one arm around JongWoon's shoulder. "And whatever problems he had with RyeoWook, those were put to rest a long time ago. I know he cares about them both... this doesn't make any sense."

"It doesn't... We need to help them, before they're hurt any more," JongWoon shut his eyes. He hated not being able to do anything. "Right? We can help them..."

"Of course we can," YoungSaeng smiled softly, kissing the side of his head. "We can do anything, long as we're together. You find a game?"

"Didn't get that far," JongWoon pouted, tilting his head up to kiss YoungSaeng softly. "So will you help me find something instead?"

"Just pick one at random," YoungSaeng murmured into the kiss, lightly tapping JongWoon on the ass. "I don't think they'll care what it is."

Jerking away from the tap, JongWoon flushed and pouted against YoungSaeng's lips. "But I wanted to stay here with you a little longer, and that's the perfect excuse."

"JongWoon, if I stay here any longer, we won't be going back to the mess hall," YoungSaeng said, kissing him again. "And they'll come looking for us, wondering where their game is."

JongWoon returned the kiss, sulking. "Fine...maybe after the game?" He slowly pulled away, moving towards the cupboard again.

"Yes... but that will depend on how much you have to drink," YoungSaeng said, tilting his head to the side to stare at JongWoon's ass. "Don't want you passing out on me."

"So...pleasantly buzzed?" JongWoon grinned back at YoungSaeng, bending over to pull out a game from the bottom shelf. "Are you going to make sure of that?"

"Hmm... yes," YoungSaeng nodded, biting lightly at his lip. "You're doing that on purpose, you'd better be careful."

"Doing what?" JongWoon straightened and looked over his shoulder at YoungSaeng innocently. "I was getting this," he showed the younger man the board game.

"You know exactly what you were doing, don't give me those doe eyes," YoungSaeng said, narrowing his eyes slightly as he crossed the room over to where JongWoon was. "How long you think we've got before they suspect we won't come back?"

JongWoon turned around to face YoungSaeng, smiling widely. "Probably five to ten minutes, longer if JungMin's distracting them. But that's probably not a lot of time..."

"Guess we'll have to use that time wisely then," YoungSaeng chuckled, plucking the game out of JongWoon's hand and tossing it to the ground. "If that's okay with you?"

"Amazing how choosing a game changes your mind so quickly," JongWoon's eyes danced, fingers curling into the material of YoungSaeng's shirt and pulling him closer.

"Yes, amazing," YoungSaeng snorted, his arm going around JongWoon's waist and leaning in to give him a firm kiss. Ten minutes was plenty of time.

******************************

The following day they decided to leave the station, a copy of the shipping route the Proteus would have taken in hand. Daniel and GyuRi left after staying the night in a spare room, wishing them luck. The only person who'd yet to make an appearance was KyuHyun, though they knew he was somewhere on the ship.

The first stop on their route was the Arcadan system, Nicole putting them on course after clearing the station. Trying not to drop the papers he was looking through, JongWoon looked up at YoungSaeng, lips pursed slightly. "We're probably going to have to do a few things differently if we're going to be a cargo ship now, huh."

"Not that differently," YoungSaeng said, opening one of the containers they had stored in the baggage hold. "And it shouldn't be that strange for you, you were on a cargo ship for years. We just may have an occasional passenger now as well."

"I was on a cargo ship for years, and I'm not looking forward to the amount of paperwork HyunJoong always had," JongWoon sulked, watching him. "Though it's probably still better than trade negotiations. I hope."

"I'll help with the paperwork," YoungSaeng said, looking over the contents of the container and comparing it to the list on his datapad. "At least this way you don't have to deal with as many angry and stubborn people."

"Yes, I could do without that," JongWoon wrinkled his nose. "Are you okay here? I should probably get started on this..." He lifted up the papers in his hands.

"I'm fine, go have fun," YoungSaeng said, waving him off.

"No fun," JongWoon pouted before heading back up the stairs. "See you once you're done," he waved and left.

It was a few minutes later when someone else appeared at the top of the catwalk. SooHyun looked around before his eyes landed on YoungSaeng down below, stepping down the stairs slowly.

Hearing the footsteps on the stairs, YoungSaeng glanced over out of the corner of his eye, frowning when he saw who it was. "What are you doing here?"

"Looking for you," was the simple reply, SooHyun looking awkward walking around without Kevin. Reaching the bottom of the stairs, he looked around the cargo hold with narrowed eyes before he turned back to YoungSaeng. "You should know the council denied our request for a very specific reason, that has nothing to do with our mission."

YoungSaeng slowly closed the container he had been looking at, crossing his arms over his chest to look at SooHyun. "Oh? And what would that be?"

SooHyun stopped a few feet away. "They want us to keep an eye on the situation with the Jeogui," he answered. "As the crew made contact with both the survivor and the ship he was in, it is our job to see there is no chance of the infection spreading."

"I doubt it, since he died on the ship," YoungSaeng said. "Why are you telling me this now? Why didn't you say anything to the Captain when he asked?"

"Only Shinbi can escape the infection," SooHyun looked at YoungSaeng blankly like he should have known this. "If there is even the chance of infection, it isn't safe to involve the person in question. You must not relay this to any non-Shinbi."

"Relay what? That you're here to watch for infection, and what if there is? What will you do then?" YoungSaeng said with a sharp edge to his voice.

"Then we will deal with it accordingly. We have precise instructions from the council not to let any trace of infection escape," SooHyun replied calmly. "This is more dangerous than you could imagine, you are lucky this ship was allowed to leave the station."

"If it is so dangerous, then why didn't you say anything before?" YoungSaeng hissed, eyes narrowed. "How are we even supposed to know if anyone is infected? You couldn't tell us one way or another if YoungJoong had been in the first place!"

"The infection only becomes clear over the long-term, and isn't visible to the eye or even medical equipment," SooHyun answered. "It must be dealt with carefully, and non-Shinbi can not be trusted. I am only telling you because despite your lack of Shinbi pride, you are still one of us, and neither of us can watch this ship on our own."

"If you want my help, or JungMin's, you need to quit it with the attacks on our character," YoungSaeng said, eyeing the Shinbi. "You don't know me, but insist I have no pride? Who are you to say that?"

"You dirtied yourself by becoming romantically involved with a human." SooHyun folded his arms across his chest, watching YoungSaeng calmly. "Shinbi and human are too different, they are not meant to coexist as more than mere acquaintances. If you had grown up in the Empire as you should have, such strange behavior would have never even crossed your mind. They've watered down your perspective on being Shinbi."

"Well, I didn't grow up in the Empire," YoungSaeng said, trying to keep calm. "I was forced to live amongst humans, to act as a human. It's hardly fair for you to judge me by standards I wasn't raised with. I doubt you would have done any differently."

"Rationalizing it doesn't change the fact that, despite your blood, you are the farthest thing from Shinbi right now," SooHyun replied, watching him. "Why do you continue to lower yourself to their level?"

"Maybe because I don't believe that Shinbi are in any way superior to any other race," YoungSaeng said. "I am Shinbi, and I am proud to be so. I held on tightly to our culture, to our language when the others turned their backs." He shook his head, looking away. "Two years ago I would have agreed with you, when I was still in their control and hated all humans, but I have learned otherwise. We're no different from humans."

"There are many differences between Shinbi and human, living among them for so long has assimilated you so you can't see that difference," SooHyun frowned. "Even going so far as to 'bond' with a non-Shinbi...you sell yourself short, such a bond could never have the full potential as a bond between two Shinbi."

"And I disagree," YoungSaeng said. "I have formed temporary bonds with JungMin before, and the bond that I have with JongWoon far outpaces anything I felt with JungMin."

"Any temporary bond, even with Shinbi, would pale in comparison to a true bond," SooHyun agreed to that. "But a true bond with a human could never compare to a true bond with Shinbi. Haven't you thought it strange that, even when our people mingled freely with other races in the distant past, there were no inter-racial relationships? Even when our people trusted the other races, they knew deeper relationships than friendship simply couldn't exist."

"You don't know that for certain," YoungSaeng said. "Just as you don't know how it would feel to form a true bond with another race... have you bonded to another?"

"Temporary bonds only," SooHyun replied. "But my family has a history of forming many true bonds, and an integral part of it is the ability of both Shinbi to return the shared emotions and senses completely. A human does not have that ability, therefore the potential of the bond is halved. It will never make you feel as you would with another Shinbi."

"I... think you're wrong," YoungSaeng said, looking up at SooHyun nervously. There was something about this conversation that was striking him as odd, and he didn't know what it was. This wasn't a conversation JongWoon needed to hear, and YoungSaeng knew his boyfriend was listening.

For the first time in two years, YoungSaeng closed off his mind from JongWoon. "You're wrong," YoungSaeng repeated. "I love JongWoon, and no Shinbi could ever make me as happy as he has."

"How do you know that? When the only Shinbi company you have had is JungMin, and he is equally deceived," SooHyun tilted his head to the side. "He won't heed reason, but I sense you hold on to your culture more strongly than he does."

"JungMin has always had insecurities about who he is," YoungSaeng said with a small sigh. "I did my best when we were in captivity to make sure the others remembered what we are, where we came from. It didn't really work, but I had to try. I am proud of being a Shinbi, and it is disrespectful of you to suggest otherwise."

"What I am suggesting is that you have been tricked into being a shadow of who you truly are," SooHyun said quietly. "Even in a true bond, something which should be beyond bliss, you've cut yourself short. What else might you be missing out on?"

YoungSaeng didn't know how to respond to that. A part of him wasn't sure what to make of what SooHyun was saying. Could he be right? Was his relationship with JongWoon a pale imitation of what it could be? He loved JongWoon, he wouldn't have bonded with him otherwise, but what if he really was missing out?

Closing his eyes, YoungSaeng took a slow deep breath before he shifted into his true form. Opening his silver eyes slowly, he looked into SooHyun's. "I am a Shinbi, I am proud of who I am, and the decisions I have made. I love him, even if you think it is unnatural... or not what it could be. We have fully bonded, and there is no breaking that."

"If it is an incomplete, half-bond, then maybe there is," SooHyun shrugged. "If you continue to insist such a bond is enough, then I won't speak more of it. But if it is something you are interested in learning more about, then I would be willing to help. I was raised off my family's belief that a true bond is the greatest of treasures, and I wouldn't want to see anyone cheated of it."

Break the bond with JongWoon... Even the thought of it made YoungSaeng want to throw up in his Shinbi form. He couldn't do that to JongWoon, he loved him. But... was it possible? "What do you mean... about helping?" he asked quietly.

"Many records exist from when Shinbi mingled with other races," SooHyun explained. "If there is a way to break an incomplete bond, it would be in those records. As ambassadors, and now also watchers for the Jeogui infection, Kevin and I have high standing in the Empire. Next instant we're in contact with a Shinbi vessel, I could request those records be searched."

"I'm not considering it... I do belong with JongWoon," YoungSaeng said, looking away. "Why do you care so much about who I am with?"

"It is as I said. My family believes strongly in the value of true bonds, and I felt you deserved to know how they work, since it is a detail you may have forgotten." SooHyun inclined his head. "If you are sure, then I won't bother you more on the subject."

"But why me? Why did you come to me first, and not JungMin?" YoungSaeng asked, looking at him. "Why me?"

SooHyun's silver eyes took in YoungSaeng's true form before he glanced away. "We have already tried on multiple occasions to speak with him, to no effect. As the older of the two, and more responsive to our culture, I thought I would have a better chance with you."

"Yet you still don't understand why it is he and I have had... difficulties in speaking with you?" YoungSaeng said. "I know Shinbi culture and way of life is important to you, but you have treated both of us unfairly."

"I...apologize," SooHyun inclined his head slightly. "We were unsettled after the events on the Proteus, and the threat of the Jeogui. Your behaviors were unfamiliar and unnerving to us."

YoungSaeng blinked in shock at the apology. He didn't think either of the ambassadors were capable of feeling any kind of guilt for their actions. "Apology accepted... I can see why you would be uncomfortable... but that doesn't excuse it. You and your partner have called myself and JungMin, as well as the rest of the crew some rather unforgivable names. We won't tolerate that."

"Understood," SooHyun nodded slightly. "I will speak with Kevin about avoiding the term 'rock' in the future."

"Thank you... and, it would be good for the both of you to interact with the crew," YoungSaeng said. "They are friendly, nice people, who are genuinely curious about the Shinbi. It could be a good experience for everyone. That is the point of this right?"

"We are...not interested in speaking with the crew as of yet," SooHyun shook his head. "We must practice more amongst ourselves. I will go now." He bowed his head slightly.

"Would it help if say... you and I were to practice, in human form?" YoungSaeng asked.

SooHyun glanced back at him. "...Maybe. Though I think you look...better...in this form. More comfortable." His lips quirked slightly.

"I feel more comfortable than I have in a long time," YoungSaeng said, smiling softly. "Thank you."

"Thank you as well," SooHyun nodded to him. "I will see you at dinner." He turned to head back up the stairs towards the door.

YoungSaeng leaned back against the container, watching the Shinbi go. He had no idea what really had just had happened, but if SooHyun was willing to try to get along better, then it was a step in the right direction. What SooHyun had said about the bonds though, that was something YoungSaeng would have to think about another time, though he hoped to put it out of his mind completely. Or talk to JungMin about it.

Pushing away from the container, he started up the stairs to the upper levels, opening his mind back up to JongWoon. He felt the familiar presence of JongWoon immediately, though he kept the memories of what had just happened to himself. Pulling out his com device, he pressed the button. "JungMin? Where are you?"

"In our room, why?" JungMin replied after a moment.

JongWoon wasn't so slow in replying, sent into a state of panic when he'd suddenly been unable to sense YoungSaeng at all. Saeng! Are you okay? What happened?!

I'm fine, I'll tell you later, YoungSaeng replied to JongWoon before blocking him again, sighing inwardly. Not entirely sure what to tell him yet though. "You and I need to talk," he spoke into the com device again. "Can I join you there?"

"Uh...sure. Walk slowly." JungMin cut the conversation short.

"Is that all you two ever do?" YoungSaeng rolled his eyes, muttering to himself as he walked up the stairs to the crew quarters. He didn't run into anyone else luckily, and he was half surprised that JongWoon hadn't come running to find him. Stopping in front of JungMin and HyungJoon's door, he knocked lightly and waited.

A moment later JungMin opened the door, dressed and pouting. "Hey." He blinked at seeing YoungSaeng in his real form. "What's up?"

"I just had an interesting conversation with SooHyun," YoungSaeng said, pushing past him into the room. "HyungJoon, we need a moment, please."

Still pulling on his shirt, HyungJoon blinked a little and patted down his hair. "Oh...kay, I guess I can go find something to do," he said, pushing his feet into his boots and heading for the door.

JungMin watched his boyfriend go, frowning lightly. He closed the door after HyungJoon, going to drop down onto the bed. "And? What did he have to say this time? Are we going to need to go sparring again?"

"No, actually, it wasn't a bad talk at all," YoungSaeng said, pacing the room. "He said he was going to make an effort to be... more understanding. Be nicer."

"Well...that doesn't sound that bad," JungMin frowned, watching YoungSaeng pace. "That doesn't explain why you had to send Joon away to tell me this, or why you're in your real form."

"Is he listening right now?" YoungSaeng asked. "There's more, but I don't know if he should hear it."

"..." JungMin frowned at him. "Yeah, he's eavesdropping. You actually want me to cut him off?"

YoungSaeng nodded grimly. "Yes."

Wondering what was eating at YoungSaeng, JungMin sighed and turned his attention inwards. You hear him as well as me. Gonna be okay without me watching you for a bit?

No, HyungJoon sulked, then blinked a bit at the implications. Oh, right, you won't be hearing me either right? Okay, that's fine!

JungMin held back a snort. Ass. He closed off the link between their minds, pushing back the instant surge of loneliness when he couldn't feel HyungJoon anymore. "Okay, he's gone, let's make this quick because this isn't really comfortable."

"I know, I blocked JongWoon earlier," YoungSaeng said, sitting down next to JungMin. "SooHyun told me that being bonded to a human isn't what a true bond should be, or feel like it should. He said that it's pale in comparison to what it feels like to be bonded to a Shinbi. What if he's right?"

JungMin's eyes narrowed. "...I knew he couldn't be talking to you for a good reason. Those two have no idea what it feels like to be in a bond with anyone, let alone HyungJoon and JongWoon."

"But he does... or I think he does, he said he did," YoungSaeng said. "He said he comes from a family, of bonded parents... he must have some idea what it would feel like. He said that... it's also possible that our bonds aren't permanent."

That didn't settle well with JungMin. He wanted his bond with HyungJoon to be permanent, secure in his decision to spend the rest of his life with the engineer. "So?" JungMin folded his arms across his chest. "Why would that have anything to do with anything? Unless...you're actually listening to those idiots," he watched YoungSaeng with narrowed eyes. "You aren't, are you?"

"I'm trying not to," YoungSaeng said quietly. "But if the bond isn't permanent... and it just fades away, what would we do then? Would he want to be with me still?"

"Then we deal with it if it happens," JungMin frowned. He didn't like that idea either, YoungSaeng's words making him nervous. "You're panicking over 'what ifs', Saeng. We've been with them for two years, and if anything the bond feels stronger than ever. If it would start fading, don't you think we would have noticed by now?"

"I don't know, there's no way to know until it happens, if it happens," YoungSaeng said. "And if it did, would I even want to do anything to prevent it."

"...What the hell are you saying," JungMin scowled at the older man. "Don't you care about the bond? About JongWoon?"

"Of course I care about JongWoon, this wouldn't bother me so much if I didn't," YoungSaeng retorted, glaring at him. "I just... I don't know what to believe right now. What if he's right, and that we don't belong with anyone outside of our own race?"

"He's not right," JungMin snapped. "We belong with whoever we choose to belong with, it doesn't matter what the other Shinbi say about it. You're letting them get into your head Saeng, remember they don't really accept us."

"And you don't accept them!" YoungSaeng snapped back, getting to his feet. "Maybe they're right, and we've lost our way, that we don't act like real Shinbi anymore, but do you even care?"

"No, I don't." JungMin stood as well, eyes flashing silver. "I'm happy how I am now, and I don't give a shit what they think about it. I thought you were happy too."

"I thought I was, but what if I'm just deluding myself?" YoungSaeng said, turning away from him, arms crossed. "Letting myself believe I'm in love with a human because that's all we've been around for half our lives?"

"I dare you to say that to JongWoon's face," JungMin's jaw clenched as he stared at YoungSaeng's back. "You love him. This isn't like you, YoungSaeng. Since when do you let other people mess with your head?"

"I'm not letting anyone mess with my head," YoungSaeng said. "Not anymore. I need to think on this more, I can't do that if I have people tugging on me in every direction. I'm not letting him back in, not yet."

"I can't believe you're even thinking about this," JungMin shook his head slowly, stepping back. "You're just going to make both of you miserable. This is ridiculous YoungSaeng."

"How is it ridiculous?" YoungSaeng turned around, tears in his eyes. "We are Shinbi JungMin, and that means far more to me than it does to you, I can see that now. I just want to know if my feelings for JongWoon are real or not, is that not my right?"

"You never though of it as not being real before SooHyun dripped poison in your ears," JungMin put his hands on his hips, scowling at the older man. "And being Shinbi means a lot to me, but I'm not going to go changing the way I live my life for anyone ever again."

"Well I'm glad you're so confident, because I'm not," YoungSaeng said quietly, turning to go. "You were always the more confident one of us JungMin, but this is something I need to work out for myself. I'm not letting anyone influence me, I wish you could see that."

"...Fine, do whatever the hell you want." JungMin sat back down on the bed. "But I'm not hiding any of this from HyungJoon." He knew it wouldn't take long before JongWoon found out, and he thought JongWoon had a right to know anyways.

"Didn't think you would," YoungSaeng replied shortly. "Because he is far more important to you than someone you've known your entire life right? More important than your own kind." He opened the door and stepped out into the hall.

That hurt, and JungMin got back to his feet, hands clenched into fists. "No, because I think JongWoon deserves to know that the person who told him forever might not care about him enough to follow through," he snapped, following YoungSaeng to the door. "Don't you dare say anything else."

"I don't want to hurt JongWoon!" YoungSaeng snapped back, turning around. "I do love him JungMin, and this hurts me so much, but I would rather know now then a year, five years down the road, that we're not right for each other. I come to you in confidence, because I wanted your thoughts, but your loyalty to me is not what it used to be, and I can't even trust you now with something that is hurting me deeply. If that is how it will be, then so be it, and I won't waste either of our time anymore."

"My loyalty to you has never changed, but we're not alone anymore YoungSaeng," JungMin looked down at him, frustrated. "You think blocking him off indefinitely is going to affect just you? You're going to hurt him whether you want to or not with this. At least tell him what's going on."

"I had every intention of telling him," YoungSaeng said. "You were the one who threatened to tell him, without asking my intentions, and told me you were going to blab to HyungJoon who we both know will tell everyone on board. That is not what I wanted."

"He wouldn't have told everyone on board, just JongWoon," JungMin folded his arms across his chest. "And from how you were talking it didn't look like you planned on doing anything other than cutting him off and not telling him why. Fine, I'll hold back from telling HyungJoon, but only if you tell JongWoon."

"HyungJoon can't keep a secret if his life depends on it," YoungSaeng muttered. "I was going to go talk to JongWoon right after I talked to you. I don't want to hurt him Min... I really don't. I do love him, I'm... just scared."

Watching the other man, JungMin sighed heavily and pushed his hand through his hair in frustration. "Fine...I won't say anything. I'm sorry for laying into you, but you've got me a little freaked out here. I hope you figure out what it is you're doing quick, for both your sakes," he mumbled.

I just remembered that Kyuhyun opened that box! I hope he is alright, and the Shinbi don't try to "end the threat" that he poses.

Sometimes, I think Jungmin just needs to march up to Soohyun or Kevin and give him a good punch on the nose.
